About Housing Authority of the City of Passaic

The Housing Authority operates a public housing program whereby residents chosen from a waiting list are assigned an apartment to live at one of six developments. The Housing Authority operates a total of 700 apartments scattered throughout the City of Passaic. It also administers eligibility for program participants.

In order to qualify, an applicant needs to meet certain income requirements. The success of the program depends greatly on compliance with the rules and responsibilities of tenancy. Once a relationship has been established between the Housing Authority and a resident, it is crucial that all parties carry out their responsibilities earnestly and expeditiously.
